CPE-RU Club

It’s June 7, Day 1 of Microsoft’s TechEd conference in New Orleans. I’m here along with 10,500 or so others to get updates on Microsoft’s IT products and services.

The first bit of news of the day, via my ZDNet colleague Ed Bott, is that the beta of Windows 7/Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack (SP) 1 is coming in July. (No word on when the final is due out; the rumor has been circulating that it will be before the end of this calendar year.)

Microsoft officials shared some initial info on SP1 a couple months ago. They said on the client there will be no new features, just bug fixes and security updates rolled up into a single deliverable. On the server side, however, there will be two new features added to SP1: A new graphics acceleration platform, known as RemoteFX, and an add-on to Hyper-V.RemoteFX is based on desktop-remoting technology that Microsoft obtained in 2008 when it  acquired Calista Technologies. The new addition to Hyper-V that will dynamically adjust memory of a guest virtual machine on demand.

Microsoft also is rolling out today a beta of Exchange Server 2010 SP1. Microsoft officials said back in April to expect this beta around TechEd and the final to be released before the end of this year.

New features/functionality on tap for Exchange Server 2010 SP1 include archiving and discovery updates, Outlook Web App improvements, mobile user and management improvements and “some highly sought after additional UI for management tasks,” the Exchange team has said.

Microsoft also has released the final version of its Windows Server AppFabric technology and has made it available for download. (Microsoft released a near-final release candidate of Windows Server AppFabric in May.)

ถ้าใครเคยลองเขียนโปรแกรมบน Visual Studio เกี่ยวกับ web App มาก่อนคงพอจะรุ้ว่ามัน Editor ตัวนี้ไม่ได้รอบรับการเขียน php เอาไว้พอตัว jQuery เริ่มโหมโรงในช่วงนี้ผมก็เลยลองจัดดาวน์โหลด Visual Studio 2010 มาเขียนซักหน่อย แต่ไอ้เรามันดันเขียน asp ไม่เป็นเลยเนี๊ยซิ แต่ฟีเจอร์ที่ VS Studio ซัพพอร์ต jQuery ก็น่าสนใจเหลือ เกิ๊นนนน ตอนแรกก็เอาโปรเจคไปบันถึงไว้ใน path ของ appserv พอทำหลายๆตัวเข้าเริ่มเซง เลยออกค้นซะหน่อย ก็ไปเจอ Add-on ของ vs studio ตัวหนึ่งน่าสนมากครับ คนพูดถึงกันเยอะ(จากที่เจอตอนค้นใน ลุงกู) ก็เลยจัดไปหนึ่งดอก แล้วเข้าทีมากเลย

โดย Add-on ตัวนี้ใช้ชื่อว่า vs.php ตอนนีก็มีถึง V.2.9 แล้วแล้วมีให้โหลดทั้ง 2003 2008 และ 2010 แต่ครับมีแต่....มันเสียตังครับ มันให้ทดลองใช้ได้ฟรีแค่ 30 วันเท่านั้นหุหุ สำหรับใครอยากใช้นานก็หายาแก้ไอเอาครับ

อีกนิดนะคือ ถ้าไม่อยากเขียน jQuery แบบมันๆ ผมก็ใช้ตัวอื่นเขียน php นะ ฮาๆๆ

อาจจะเก่าสักหน่อยครับ แต่สำหรับคนที่ยังไม่รู้และต้องการพัฒนาโปรแกรมบน visual studio พร้อมกับ .net framework 4.0 นั้น Microsoft ได้ปล่อยให้ดาวน์โหลดออกมา

ถ้าใครต้องการพัฒนา silverlight 4 ให้ไปใช้ 2010 beta 2 นะครับ ส่วน cd-key ใช้ Google ครับไม่ยาก เพราะจะมี cd-key ของ Microsoft develop อยู่หลายทีครับสามารถใช้งานได้ ^^"

วันนี้ไปร่วมงานสัมมนา Intel CIO Forum: Digital Enterprise Seminar 2007 Maximize your IT ROI in a Changing Economy ซึ่งเป็นงานสัมมนาฟรีที่ Intel จัดขึ้นทุกปี

งานในปีนี้จัดได้น่าสนใจครับ ช่วงแรกคุณเอกรัศมิ์ อวยสินประเสริฐ กรรมการผู้จัดการ บริษัท อินเทล ไมโครอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด ได้บรรยายและแสดง roadmap ของ CPU ในอนาคตอันใกล้ เนื้อหาเยอะมากครับ และผมเองไม่ใช่เซียนด้านฮาร์ดแวร์ ฟังมาแบบงูๆ ปลาๆ ก็พอสรุปได้ว่า Intel กำลังจะเข้าสู่เทคโนโลยีขนาด 45 นาโนเมตร ซึ่งจะทำให้ CPU มีประสิทธิภาพสูงขึ้น ต้นทุนต่ำลง และประหยัดไฟมากขึ้น

นอกจากนี้ยังมีเทคโนโลยี Intel vPro ที่ทำให้ผู้ใช้สามารถ remote access เข้าไปควบคุมคอมพิวเตอร์เครื่องอื่นในระดับฮาร์ดแวร์ได้ ให้ลองนึกภาพการเรียก remote desktop เข้าไปยังเครื่องที่ใช้ Windows หรือการเรียก secure shell ไปยังเครื่องที่ใช้ Linux ซึ่งเป็นการ remote access ในระดับระบบปฏิบัติการ แต่ถ้าระบบปฏิบัติการเกิดแฮงค์ขึ้นมาก็ไม่สามารถ access เข้าไปได้ ขณะที่เทคโนโลยี Intel vPro สามารถเข้าถึงในระดับฮาร์ดแวร์ ลองนึกภาพการใช้คอมพิวเตอร์ของเราเพื่อ remote access ไปอีกเครื่อง แล้วเราสามารถเห็นหน้าจอตอนที่เครื่องนั้นกำลังรีบูทอยู่ปรากฎบนหน้าจอของ เราได้ แต่เทคโนโลยีนี้มีการจำกัดความสามารถให้ทำได้เพียงบางอย่าง เช่น สั่งรีบูท หรือสั่งให้บูทจากซีดีรอมหรือฮาร์ดดิสก์ลูกอื่นได้ และยังมีการเข้ารหัสแบบ 128 บิตไว้ ซึ่งเทคโนโลยีนี้ก็คงจะเหมาะกับธุรกิจที่มีเครือข่ายสาขาหลายแห่ง จะช่วยให้ฝ่ายไอทีสามารถแก้ไขปัญหาของคอมพิวเตอร์ที่สาขาได้สะดวกขึ้น

ช่วงที่สอง Mr. Duncan Hai Liang Lee ตำแหน่ง Enterprise Architect ของ Intel Asia Pacific มาบรรยายเรื่องกรณีศึกษาของ Intel ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นเรื่องความน่าน้อยเนื้อต่ำใจของ CIO (Chief Information Officer) เวลาคุยเรื่องของบไอทีกับ CEO (Chief Executive Officer) หรือ CFO (Chief Financial Officer) ขอไม่ลงรายละเอียดละกันนะครับ เนื่องจากฟังไม่ค่อยรู้เรื่อง
